POC Newsletter 3/30/04

Announcements:

***      -If you are interested in giving a presentation to the club about a past trip that you have been on, contact Ari (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) you are more interesting than you think.

***      -This year's super cool t-shirt, the "10 Signs you might be a POCer" is still for sale. They are $8.  See Jackie at the next meeting, you know you want one.

-If you are in possession of the club's Sierra Designs 3-man Stretch Dome tent, you are urged to promptly return it failure to do so will result in a manhunt with a prolonged and unpleasant conclusion.  The aftermath of the hunt may involve but is not limited to the following, chloroform, Duct Tape, naphtha, a slingshot, lots of sparklers, and of course a Zippo.

-On Tuesday the 13th, after the meeting there will be a speaker coming to talk about nutrition and dietary needs during extreme activity (good to know for adventure races).

-Next week we will be taking nominations for next year's officers. [Positions listed at the end]  So start thinking!  The elections will be two weeks later on the 20th.

-This Friday there will be a Critical Mass ride.  It sounds so cool everyone should do it.  If you have a bike and feel like joining a ton of other bikers to invade the streets for some fun on bikes, plan to meet behind the RSC at 4:20 on Friday.  Contact Nathan (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) for more info.

-Roll session this Friday from 6:30 to 8:30pm in the dive pool.  Go Go Gadget Kayak!

Outgoing Trips:

-Climb Time Towers on Wednesday and Thursday meet behind the RSC at 6pm

-Joy is going to the Red, but she isn't leaving from here, so if you want to go and can drive email her (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

-Anna is going to hike part of the Knobstone Trail, contact her (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) if you are interested (especially if you can drive)
