POC Newsletter 1/27/04

Announcements:

-Exuberant Congratulations go out to Ritwik for masterfully defending his doctoral thesis, way to go Dr.Bhatia!

-Our spring callout is Wednesday (tomorrow) at 7pm in WTHR 200. Come, and bring (drag, haul, chloroform and kidnap) your friends.

-If you are interested in a getting or renewing your CPR or First aid certification this semester contact Ari (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

-If you are interested in giving a presentation to the club about a past trip that you have been on, contact Ari (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

-The POC lock-in at Climb Time Towers is going to be Saturday Febuary 28th.  It is a marvelous time for all, even you non-climbers out there.

-There is a bouldering competition at Miami of Ohio on February 7.  The cost to compete is $25.

-Matt is going to see Touching the Void, the Joe Simpson story, in Chicago Wednesday (Tomorrow) at 4 contact him (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.as soon as possible if you are interested in going.

-This year's t-shirt, the "10 Signs you might be a POCer" is still for sale. They are $8.  See Jackie at the next meeting if you want one.

-There is a roll session this Friday in the pool from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

-Start thinking about spring break trips!


Outgoing Trips:

-Climb Time Towers on Thursday and Friday, meet behind the RSC at 6pm

-Now that there is some of that white stuff outside, call it what you will, snow, annoying, white-death, blow. uh scratch that last one; we now have the chance to use the cross country skis in the gear closet.
