CLIMBING?

  • the weather looks... horrible (as in cold and snow).  but may try anyway, must take advantage of the last opportunity of the semester.  probably to the Red. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

ROLL SESSION

  • nope.

and now for something completely different...

Announcements

POCAR

  • POCAR registration deadline was tonight.  if you didn't make it, sorry but you lost already.  if you need to add people to your team, you may come crawling and bearing gifts to Nathan (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) by next Tuesday, but all final team members must be added and all money paid by that date.

FORMS

  • To be a club member or participate in POCAR (or just becuase we love making Ari have to alphabetize them and she loves having them all over her floor), you must fill out all the necessary paper work (a white card and a gray sheet-the hold harmless form).

T-SHIRTS

  • Tonight is your last chance to pre-order a t-shirt.  There will be a few extra of these wonderful products for those who see the light at a later date and realuze they should have ordered one.  This year they are being sold at the stunningly low rate of $8 per shirt.  We MAY have them by next week, but at least by the end of the semester.  The design is "10 signs you may be a POCeron the back plus a super slick design on the front.  The 10 sings are at the end of this email for those of you who can't wait for the shirts to come.

GEAR

  • Get all your gear back into the closet before winter break (ie next week) or suffer the horrible bone chilling wrath of Randy and Derick.

PRESENTATIONS

  • We will have two presentations next week.
    • 1. The first is on UTM (universal transverse mercator... you know you want to learn it now) plotting.  This is VERY important if you wish to even manage to leave camp during POCAR.  Someone on your team will need to be able to do this, and no one will teach you at the race, so it would be well advised to show up.
    • 2. The second presentation could also be equally useful for POCAR.  The group putting it together does a lot of work with adventure wellness, especially for adventure races and such.  The presentation will concern nutrition for such activities and will surely NOT be your typical high school health classlecture.  So come check it out, and I am sure Ari will have a well detailed email with more info later.
