POC Newsletter 9/2/03

Threats:

-If you have gear that you did not return today (sinners) you need to contact Derick (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or Randy (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) immediately for this weekends inventory or the consequences will be dire.  My favorite of the afore mentioned consequences ends with a length of rope, duct tape, a shovel, rubber gloves, goggles (Ari says safety first), and a bag of lye.

-ALL POCERS new and old (for the new members a POCer is a member of the POC [Purdue Outing Club]),  if you want to go on trips and check out gear you need to pay Jackie your dues and fill out a new liability waiver for this year.  We have our ways of coercing dues from you.

Announcements:

-Mad props to our awesome master of the web Vladimir, for the grand new website http://poc.purdue.org <http://poc.purdue.org/>

-The New River Gorge, Gulley Fest will be September 19-21. They will be draining a lake, which makes for some good bouldering and kayaking. Who could pass up a fest in a gulley?

-The Adventure Racing Club will be having its callout this Thursday (the 4th) at 7 pm in KNOY B033.  If you can help out with the callout or putting flyers up contact Nathan (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

-Roll session and swim test this Friday 6:30-8:30 pm in the diving pool.  The swim test is just an RSC formality everyone can pass it.  So come out, swim, roll, and rejoice all in one evening.
